1. Who we are

This policy explains how Boopy Technologies Ltd (“Boopy”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the Republic of Mauritius under Company No. [C-XXXXXX], BRN [BRN], with its registered office at [Registered address], Republic of Mauritius, handles personal data when you visit boopy.dev or contact us.

We are the controller of that data for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius. Where you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, we also aim to meet the equivalent GDPR standards. Questions about this policy go to contact@boopy.dev.

2. What we collect

When you email us

Your name, email address, the content of your message and anything you choose to attach. If you become a client, we also hold the contact, billing and project information needed to deliver and invoice the work.

When you message us on WhatsApp

Your phone number, WhatsApp profile name and the messages you send. The site itself stores nothing: its WhatsApp buttons only open the app with a suggested first message, which you can edit or delete before sending.

When you browse the site

The site has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and we do not set cookies. Like any website, the servers that deliver it receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used only to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

3. Why we use it

To reply to you and discuss a potential project: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
To deliver and invoice work for clients: performance of a contract.
To keep business and tax records: compliance with our legal obligations in Mauritius.
To keep the site and email secure: our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

4. Automatic replies

Messages to contact@boopy.dev receive a single automated acknowledgement. To avoid sending you more than one, we record the sender address and the time of the reply for seven days, after which the record is deleted automatically.

5. Who else processes it

We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions:

Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, content delivery, security and email routing.
Meta Platforms (WhatsApp): delivers and stores the WhatsApp conversations you start with us.
Google LLC: email inbox (Gmail) where your messages are stored, and web fonts served by Google Fonts.
Content delivery networks (cdnjs, Amazon CloudFront, OnlineWebFonts): serve the icons, fonts and background video used on this site, and therefore receive your IP address when you load a page.

Some of these providers process data outside Mauritius, including in the United States and European Union. Where that happens we rely on the providers’ contractual safeguards for international transfers.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
Client and financial records: as long as Mauritian law requires, generally up to 7 years.
Auto-reply records: 7 days.
Server and security logs: per our hosting provider’s standard retention, typically days to weeks.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2017 you may ask us to:

confirm whether we hold your data and give you a copy of it;
correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
delete your data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
restrict or object to how we use it.

Email contact@boopy.dev and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access-controlled accounts with two-factor authentication, and the minimum data needed for each task. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the Data Protection Office of any breach affecting your data as the law requires.

9. Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
